Our core Contractor Readiness Program is 8 weeks, with optional extended support for businesses that want ongoing admin, compliance or operational help. We understand business owners easily get overwhelmed and because of this we have two options to fit within your schedule. Cohort 1: New Year Cohort – Start the year GC-ReadyTuesday nights starting January 26th Wednesday afternoons starting January 27thCohort 2: Spring Cohort – Get prepared before peak construction season:Tuesday evenings starting May 4thWednesday afternoons starting May 5thCohort 3: Fall/Year-End Readiness – Finish the year prepared and start next year GC-Ready:Tuesday evenings, September 14thWednesday afternoons, September 15thEnrollment opens several weeks before each cohort and seats are limited to maintain a high level of support. GC Referral Support may be available in select plans. Approval, onboarding acceptance, project awards, and paid work remain at the discretion of each general contractor.

The CRG GC-Ready Certification means a subcontractor has completed the readiness training, reviewed key business and documentation standards, learned GC communication expectations, and prepared core onboarding materials. It is designed to signal that a subcontractor understands the professional standards general contractors expect. Certification Disclaimer: The CRG GC-Ready Certification reflects completion of CRG’s readiness training and internal program requirements. It is not a government license, trade license, safety certification, insurance approval, legal qualification, or guarantee of contractor approval. General contractors, project owners, licensing boards, insurers, and other third parties may have separate requirements that participants must satisfy independently.

Are GC referrals guaranteed?

No. CRG does not guarantee project awards, paid work, vendor approval, or subcontractor selection. GC Referral Support may be available in select plans; however, each general contractor independently determines whether to approve, select, invite, award, or work with any subcontractor.

Do I need commercial construction experience to enroll?

No. CRG is designed for subcontractors and service businesses at different stages, including those who are new to GC work, transitioning from residential work, or trying to become more organized and professional while building their GC pipeline.

General contractors can partner with CRG by referring subcontractors for readiness training, joining the GC Partner Network, or using CRG as a support resource for improving subcontractor onboarding and standards.

Is CRG a job placement service?

No. CRG is not a job placement service, staffing agency, employment agency, contractor broker, or guarantee of paid work. CRG is a subcontractor readiness, training, certification, and referral-support program. Select plans may include introduction and onboarding preparation, but each GC makes its own approval, bidding, award, and selection decisions.

What if I do not have insurance or licensing yet?

You can still enroll. CRG helps you understand what documentation, insurance, licensing, and compliance items may be expected by general contractors so you can begin preparing your business properly.

What happens after graduation?

After graduation, students receive their CRG GC-Ready Certification if program requirements are completed. Depending on the enrollment plan selected, graduates may also receive onboarding preparation, continued access to resources, and optional postgraduation support.

CRG does not guarantee bid wins or project awards.

What if I am not ready for GC referrals yet?

Our goal is for students to feel prepared for GC referral opportunities by the end of the cohort. However, every business moves at a different pace. If you do not feel ready, CRG will work with you to understand your concerns, identify what needs to be strengthened, and help you build the confidence, organization, documentation, and experience needed before moving forward.

Can general contractors refer subcontractors to CRG?

Yes. General contractors may refer subcontractors to CRG at no cost. CRG helps willing subcontractors improve documentation, communication, onboarding readiness, and professional standards through the cohort. If a referred subcontractor completes the program, earns certification, and demonstrates readiness, CRG may help reconnect them with the referring GC or other GC partners when appropriate. Final approval, vendor acceptance, bid invitations, project awards, and subcontractor selection remain solely at the general contractor’s discretion.

Is the GC Partner Network free for general contractors?

Yes. There is no cost to general contractors to join the GC Partner Network.

Live participation is strongly encouraged because each class is designed to build readiness, accountability, and real-time understanding. However, CRG understands that circumstances can come up and may offer a makeup lesson or alternative support when appropriate.
